This personal experience was the catalyst that ignited her interest in optometry and motivated her to pursue a career where she could help others achieve similar improvements in their vision. She knew she wanted to provide high-quality eye care with personalized treatment, compassion, and commitment to patient wellbeing.
Dr. Sarah Yan was born and raised in Mississauga. She then completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2024.
